Expressive Presence
Spectra
A full spectrum of emotion, alive on her face.
Most systems paint a single emotion across an entire utterance. Spectra renders a continuously evolving emotional spectrum — blended and mixed, sentence by sentence — so the face tracks meaning, not merely sound. Every sentence carries its own emotional and intentional coloring, and beneath the deliberate expression runs a layer of involuntary life: micro-saccades, thinking pauses, the small ambient motion of a body that is truly inhabited.
That signal-below-notice is the difference between a face that is animated and a face that is inhabited. Spectra is our most-iterated pillar — three generations of emotional modelling — and it is what makes her feel like a someone rather than a something.
The technology
A real-time affective engine maps the semantic and emotional content of each sentence onto a continuous field of facial-action channels, compositing multiple emotional states with weighted envelopes rather than switching between fixed presets. A parallel naturalness layer injects involuntary micro-behaviour — saccades, thinking-holds, ambient motion — governed by biologically-derived timing constants, so the face is never mechanically still.
Why it matters
An expression that merely labels the sentence reads as a mask. Spectra makes emotion continuous and inhabited — the first faculty of a presence that feels alive rather than played back.
